SANDBANKS APARTMENT This large 3-bedroom apartment in Poole
was constructed in the late eighties and had mostly been left untouched since.
Two structural walls were removed, opening up the kitchen space in to the living area
with fantastic uninterrupted views over the bay. The entire property was refurbished by DecCardy
Design & Build with their team of craftsmen to exacting standards.
Suspended ceilings were installed throughout to incorporate a full re-wire. (Reference)
SPINNAKERS Spinnakers is a
1987-built, 5-storey town house overlooking Poole Park and Bay offering
far reaching views from the top floors. The property was in need of modernisation
having been largely untouched since being built. DecCardy Interior Design
& DecCardy Design & Build were commissioned for the interior design,
project management, reconfiguration, refurbishment and renovation work due
for completion December 2010. This page will be updated as the renovation
project progresses. (Detailed Information)
STICKY COTTAGE
Sticky Cottage is a semi-detached Grade II listed stone built character
cottage in a desirable village location. The property had been untouched
for many years and was in need of major refurbishment. Bedroom 3 was reduced
in size to incorporate a WC and shower upstairs, the bathroom and kitchen
replaced and major renovation works unearthed a very large inglenook and
flag stone flooring.
MAY COTTAGE May Cottage is an attached
period former farm labourer's property, converted from 2 dwellings. The
infrastructure of the beams made moving the existing staircase position
impossible without removing parts of the beamwork. Hence, a bespoke open
oak staircase was installed in the same location with matching floorboards
and shelving. State of the art interior design software was used to show
the beam infrastructure and alternate possibilities in 2D and 3D. (Testimonial)
SILVER BIRCHES Silver Birches
was a typical 1930's built detached property on a large plot. The property
had not been decorated or refurbished for 40 years. The house was redesigned
and refurbished in its existing layout, save a small amount of internal
reconfiguration to enhance the important rooms, kitchen and bathroom, though
planning was granted to extend. Bespoke solid oak kitchen with granite worksurfaces
and natural limestone tiling throughout.
FIELD HOUSE Field House is a Grade II Listed thatched
house with enormous charm and character dating back to 15th & 16th Centuries.
Engineered oak floors, complete redecoration and a kitchen revamp were all carried out
within a very modest budget completeley lightening the space and making it appear considerably more modern.
CHARLTON HOUSECharlton House
is a Grade II listed period property with well proportioned rooms and original
features with an abundance of history, charm and character. Our brief was
to create a snug-room for the children, replacing carpets and curtains and
recommending wall colours in addition to providing a solution to work/storage
areas. (Testimonial)
MANOR FARM Manor
Farm is a beautifully situated modernised farmhouse surrounded by extensive
gardens. We were instructed to match new wall colours to curtains &
blinds in addition to providing a replacement shelving system in solid oak
housing invisible brackets. Designing new cupboards and shelving for the
